Seniors

The seniors continued their impressive form with a comprehensive win over a gallant Thomas McCurtain's side to give them a 100% record after three group games to date , a score line of 0-10 to 0-01 at half time all but had the result sealed early but credit to all players who kept going for the 60 minutes knowing that places are up for grabs in a very competitive squad , a fast start saw Kevin McCarthy register the first three points with further scores rom Oran (2) , Brain (2)Kenny, David C and a first time score from Geoff Kingston from corner back following his recent arrival in 2016.

On the re start the play got a little sluggish but changes kept the momentum on our side and the highlight was a long searching ball from Eoin which found Brian expertly and despite still having work to do he beat his marker to dispatch a low drive to the keepers left hand corner and in to the net , Oran capped off a hugely impressive performance with two more long range scores and Sean McGoldrick closed out the scoring with a very well taken point , some very eye catching displays around the pitch with all backs again proving difficult to break down and they are providing a real platform for the others to push on and get the job done

Most notable on the day were All defenders , Oran , Kenny ,Kevin and Brian , We now meet Tir Conaill Gaels in two weeks in the semi final knowing nothing short of our best will be enough to progress .

Scorers

Brian Rutledge 1-02 Oran Kerr 0-4 Kenny and Kevin 0-3 each Geoff, Eoin, Dave C , Dave R , Matt Joyce and Sean McGoldrick 0-1 each.

U17

Our U17 boys lost out narrowly to Tara in an entertaining league final played at Mcgovern Park on Saturday , Despite leading by a few points with ten minutes to go we lost key players to black cards at pivotal times and this along with some wayward shooting ultimately cost us the title , the squad and management will take great encouragement from this performance however and will go in to the championship with real hopes of a good run now .Much improvement has been made with this squad this year and hopefully they will get their rewards .

Scorers

Chris Morris 0-4 Oliver Mallon 0-3 Callum Mcgowan 1-0 Jp Coggins 0-1
