A great weekend of results with both seniors and reserves securing their place in the Championship finals next weekend with dramatic victories , first up on Saturday was the reserves who started with a TCG kit against Thomas McCurtains due to late arrival of the jerseys owing to closures on the M40 , a two point deficit at half time had us right in the hunt but four points separated the sides at the second half water break and it wasn't looking good , a goal from Mort got us back in it and when Conor Mcloughlin pointed to send the game to extra time the momentum was all with us .

We started extra time on the front foot and could have goaled when the Fish was put through only to lose his footing at the crucial moment , however he soon made up for it when he blasted home following good work from Hugh Conlon and he added another point from play soon after , stout defending ensured it was a lead we never gave up and we survived on a score line of 3-06 to 1-08-we meet Fulham Irish in the final next Sunday in Ruislip .Later on Saturday our U17 had a good win over TCG in the championship to stay in the hunt and they will face Parnells in the semi final , our U13 boys went down narrowly to Tara in the league final on a score line of 3-10 to 1-10.

Ruislip was the setting for Sundays semi final in the senior championship when we faced Round Towers , though starting favourites we found the defensive nature of the Towers hard to break down and in a first half of few chances we went in at half time 1 point down with scores coming from Kenny o Connor and Chris Farley , immediately from the throw in we should have gone ahead in the second half when after a quick break Kenny was left one on one but dragged his shot wide , this spurred Towers on and they managed to kick the next three scores to go 6-2 up , we were up against it now and some re shuffling along with improved performances saw us gradually grind our way back in to the game , scores from Marcus(2) , Willie and sub Senan O Grady got us back on terms but we had lost Mark Rowland to a red card by then and also Aodhan Gervin and and Senan to injury , however we were on top and another Chris Farley free after good work from sub James Moran put us ahead for the first time in the game with 3 left to play , lots of drama left though when we conceded a sloppy goal almost at the death and with time running out we pumped a kick out more in hope than expectation .Good work from Geoff Kingston in chasing an interception kept the move going and when Eunan Devlin managed to slip a pass to Farley he somehow managed to rattle the top corner to send us back in front and drive the faithful wild , still time for Towers to muster up another shot at goal which came back off the upright and fell to the grateful Geoff Kingston who cleared his lines and with that the final whistle sounded to huge relief around the ground , we got away with it but showed great heart and character to claw our way back in to the game when all looked lost at the water break , we will have to improve against a very good Fulham Irish side next weekend if we are to add to our victory in 2016 but we showed we know how to grind out a result when all looked lost .
