A weekend of Championship action saw both reserves and juniors winning their opening round ties against North London Shamrocks and St Anthony's , both games were played at Barnet Lane in ideal conditions , first up the reserves had a storming third quarter to thank for the win against a very decent Shamrocks outfit outscoring their opponents by 5 points in this period to set them on the road to victory , best on the day were James Callery in goal, Ciaran Healy , Peter Finn, Scratch , Jamie Cox and Jack Ryan , new man Eunan Devlin had a very decent opening game in the black and white and next up is a home game against St Josephs' on Sunday 22nd .Final Score was 3-12 to 1-13.
Sunday it was the turn of our London born juniors who had their first championship outing of the year against St Anthony's of Reading , our lads were in control throughout and despite the best effort of the Reading men we ran out convincing 1-13 to 0-08 winners in the end , we play Tara in Greenford on Saturday at 4.00pm to decide who tops the group but the result means we are in the semi final safely and the game will decide who we play in that semi final between St Clarets and Wandsworth Gaels .Best on the day were Sean Walsh , Jack Hannon , Rhys Lennon, Michael English and Niall Duggan .
