Two games in Barnet Lane on Saturday 22nd resulted in a narrow loss for the juniors in the opening game to Tara and a big win for the seniors over Thomas McCurtains, the Juniors once again showed there is little difference between the sides in this division when failing to capitalise on the chances created to get their league account up and running and will rue missed goal chances and poor shot selection when looking back on this game , trailing by the minimum at half time thanks to a cool finish from Sean Walsh we kicked the first 3 scores of the second half to open up a two point lead over the opposition , after this we failed to kick on and Tara were able to take their scores and wrestle back control , we rallied but looked unlikely to get the goal we needed to swing the game in our favour again , some positives to take from the match but the performances need to start turning in to points soon and this squad will get the confidence their performances have merited to date , best on the day were Rhys Lennon , Coalan Doyle and Barry Dowling .

Scorers -Coalan Doyle 0-4 Sean Walsh 1-0 Rhys , Paddy and Matt Joyce 0-1 each .

The senior side took to the field in a potential banana skin game against Thomas McCurtains at 4 .00pm and essentially put the tie to bed in the first quarter when fast starts by both Philip Rogers and Brian Rutledge had us 2-08 to 0-01 up , the goals coming from Kenny and Brian after good work from Marcus and Scratch .The second quarter was a tight affair with both sides scoring 0-03 each and TMC coming in to the game more .Scratch added another goal in the 3rd quarter and by the second half water break we were well in command on a score line of 3-17 to 1-06 , the bench was well used and 4 further goals from Marcus(2), Paudie and Brian rounded off a commanding display and we sit well in the table with 3 wins from 3 .

Best on the day were Eoin Walsh, Marcus Mangan, Aidan Gervin, Philip Rogers and Brian Rutledge .

SCORERS -Marcus and Brian 2-03 each

Kenny 1-4
