A busy weekend of both competitive action and blitzes has passed , Round Towers against the Seniors was postponed to a later date so the Juniors took centre stage on Saturday going down by the minimum margin to a strong Harlesden Harps team fresh from qualifying for the Junior championship final , we had several goal chances and had a penalty saved but we went in 2 points to the good , the Harps rang the changes in the 2nd half and strangled back control of the game to lead by 5 after 10 minutes played , again our lads rallied and brought the game level with a minute or 2 remining , unfortunately the final score went to The Harps and they took the spoils in a thoroughly entertaining game by 1-10 to 0-12, a very positive step forward for this side and surely there is more to come from the Young bunch. Very positive performances all over the pitch.
The reserves made the long trip to Essex to face Mcuratins in the first round of the league on Sunday and despite a very positive first half eventually went down by 3-11 to 0-09 to a strong home side , more game time together and fitness levels improving will stand us in good stead going forward .Well done to the home side .
